Most Liked

Many visitors rave about the vibrant flavors that come from the kitchen, with dishes like the vegetarian platter and lamb zigni frequently mentioned. The injera is a favorite as it serves as both a side and a utensil for digging into the delicious stews. Customers also appreciate the generous portion sizes, making meals a great value for the price. The lively atmosphere during peak hours enhances the experience, especially during match days when the excitement fills the air. Additionally, the freshly roasted coffee receives high praise, often serving as the perfect end to a flavorful meal. Overall, diners love the friendly service and the cultural richness embedded in each dish.

Most Disliked

Some diners have noted that the restaurant can get quite busy, particularly on Wednesdays at 8 PM, which might affect the wait times for service. A few have expressed disappointment when a desired dish ran out during peak hours, highlighting the popularity of the menu items. Others have mentioned that during their visits, the noise level could be quite high, making conversation a bit challenging. However, these minor inconveniences haven't deterred most patrons from returning, as the experience generally outweighs any hiccups.

What a wonderful experience! I had never tried Eritrean food before: I've clearly been missing a lot and will need to make up for it! I had the Beyaynetu with injera and it was fabulous. A great atmosphere (lots of people). Really friendly staff too.

I spent a few weeks in the UK and Ireland and I honestly think this was the best meal I had on the whole trip. There are a couple Ethiopian restaurants back home in the States that I love, so I can only compare this food with my past experiences with Ethiopian restaurants (not from first-hand knowledge), but this place was just as good -- if not better -- than my favorite places back home. The UK doesn't seem super vegetarian-friendly, with veggie options seemingly an afterthought and not the stars of the menu...not the case here. The many vegetarian dishes I tried were all wonderful and plentiful -- finally!!! Added bonus was that this was probably my least expensive dinner in 3 weeks of traveling. Such a good value for the money!

Absolutely loved this place! Went in during a match day and the atmosphere was amazing, staff were extremely kind and food was delicious. The lamb zigni was to die for and the vegetarian platter was flavourful. A great first experience into Ethiopian food!

I've been here a few times, but I usually dig right in and forget to take a picture! I cannot fault the food or the service here, the Eritrean/Ethiopian food is delicious and flavoursome with generous portions. The beyaynetu is a particularly good way of trying different veggie curries with injera. I love coming back here :)

Absolutely excellent Ethiopian food. We thought the menu was really good including favourites such as Doro Wat but also Doulet, which is less usual to find on menus in Europe. And the portions were really generous so much so that we took a takeaway! Great if you eat meat or you don't. Superb value. Thank you to everyone who gave us such a good family meal out while we were on holiday in Swansea.

Absolutely loved this authentic Eritrean restaurant! It’s a small, family-owned gem where you can instantly feel the warmth and care in both the service and the food. The dishes are freshly made and bursting with flavor — you can really taste the tradition in every bite. Generous portions make it perfect for sharing, and the variety on the menu means there’s something for everyone, from meat lovers to vegetarians. One of the highlights is their incredible coffee ceremony — a true cultural experience, complete with freshly brewed coffee, incense, and perfectly popped popcorn. It’s not just a meal, it’s a celebration of Eritrean hospitality. And the best part? The prices are more than fair for the quality and quantity you get. I can’t recommend this place enough — whether you’re familiar with Eritrean food or trying it for the first time, this spot is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be back!
